It’s the first snow of the season, but don’t let that fool you! The Petting Farm at Mountain Valley View Farm is still open! We have adorable Nubian and fainting goats, Icelandic and Babydoll Southdown sheep, Icelandic horses, and more than 80 breeds of bird, including many rare, endangered, and exotic species of chicken, duck, goose, partridge, pheasant, quail, turkey, and much more!

Delicious hot chocolate and apple cider are available to warm you inside and out. Make an afternoon of it: step out of the cold and into our Getaway Studio Dining Club for an old-fashioned farm lunch, homemade here on our farm from the best organic ingredients grown locally!* It’s an outing designed to create fun memories your family will treasure forever—and it’s educational, too. Learn about all the different animals and what life is like on a family farm from our friendly and knowledgeable staff. You can also feed the animals yourself to add to the fun and get a small taste of farm life. Our sweet animals love being fed, petted, and admired by visitors!

The Petting Farm at Mountain Valley View Farm welcomes large groups, including school field trips. Groups of 20 or more receive a 10% discount on admission, and admission is always free for children under the age of 2, as well as veterans, active military personnel, police and firemen.

So bundle up and come join us for a pleasant afternoon with the animals at Mountain Valley View Farm! It’s a fun treat you don’t want to miss!
